Lilies in Washington Heights
Today the weather was most uncooperative. We received
torrential rains, the likes of which one finds in
Biblical passages. No doubt the remnant of some
hurricane hitting the South. Fortunately the rain
was over by 4 PM, the sun came out, and the
flowers in the park were all the best for it. The
white lilies, in particular.

Then, the Sunset -- more exquisite than ever. Some
thirty individuals were watching it, mesmerized.
Faces in awe as if they hadn't seen one before. I
wanted to take a picture of their expressions, but
did not want to break their concentration.
